In 2014, more than 31 percent of all the traffic accidents that took place in Arizona caused injuries to at least one person involved. When you consider that nearly 110,000 collisions occurred in the state during that time, it is clear that injuries stemming from a car accident are a real and serious threat to those who call the Valley home. Perhaps most troubling is the fact that it is not always an errant motorist who is hurt but that regularly, innocent victims are left to suffer from the negligence of others when a car accident does result.
Though any type of crash can cause damage in its wake, the greater the number of vehicles involved, the greater potential for the number of victims as the number of potential drivers who suffer injuries will increase and the potential for passengers will likely increase. When police are notified of any crash, they always take a serious response but because of the great potential for victims, the response may be heavier in a multi-car collision.
Authorities in Phoenix have confirmed that three vehicles were involved in a crash on Tuesday night near the intersection of 67th Avenue and Osborn Road and that seven people were hurt as a result.
The cause of the crash has not yet been confirmed but police have stated that an investigation is ongoing at this time and that the results may determine whether anyone involved will be cited for the incident.
When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they found a 25-year-old woman and three children outside of vehicles and on the ground, leading them to the possibility that those four victims were ejected upon impact. All four were transported to area hospitals in critical condition where the nature and extent of their injuries are not clear at this time.
An additional three people involved in the crash received medical attention for injuries believed to be more minor and those three individuals are expected to recover.
When a car accident strikes and leaves you with injuries, the laws in Phoenix protect you by enabling you to bring a civil action for your damages against a driver who caused the crash or a company or entity that is responsible. To bring a claim successfully, all laws and protocols must be followed and it may be helpful for many victims to speak with a personal injury attorney to learn about what options they may possess.
