Truck Strikes Power Pole in Phoenix, Leaving 2 in Critical Condition

When you get in a car to go for a ride, are you the driver? The passenger? Does it depend on the setting? If you are like the typical adult in the Phoenix area, chances are that you drive at times and that you are a passenger in other moments. But how does that change affect your view of your safety? It may sound like an unusual question but when asked, many adults acknowledge the safety concerns that are associated with driving but tend to ignore their personal safety when they are a passenger. Passengers cannot control the actions of the driver of their vehicle or the drivers of other cars so it may seem normal that they do not consider safety when they enter a car.

But passengers can be injured in car accidents to the same extent that drivers can be so passenger safety should be a primary concern for everyone. Drivers should act in a careful and cautious manner to protect those in their vehicles and passengers should be aware of who is operating their vehicle and what skills that person has as a driver.

Yet despite these safety concerns that should be paramount in the minds of motorists, car crashes continue to happen in Phoenix every day and continue to injure drivers and passengers in their wake. Though these accidents cannot be erased once they occur, those who are hurt may be entitled to seek financial compensation for their injuries and for the totality of their losses by bringing a claim for relief. Speaking with an attorney who practices personal injury law can help you realize your options if you have been injured in a crash.

Police are still reviewing all the facts in a single vehicle car accident that happened on Saturday morning in an attempt to sort out the cause of the collision. Authorities have confirmed that two people in their 60s were riding in the vehicle near 19th Avenue and Buckeye Road when the driver lost control and collided with a utility pole near the roadway. The impact caused the truck involved to roll onto its side and left both the male and female victims with critical injuries. Emergency medical personnel responded and transported both victims to area hospitals where the nature of their injuries remains unclear at this time.

Single car accidents are a regular occurrence in Phoenix and they can cause just as much devastation as a crash with multiple vehicles. The victims who are hurt in these accidents often have the same rights to seek relief as other crash victims but they may not know how to go about acting on their rights or making sure their interests are represented fairly.
