A motorcycle crash occurred in Mesa around 4:00 p.m. yesterday and left the rider in critical condition, according to local authorities. The crash shut down traffic in the area of Gilbert and 8th Avenue as police investigated and emergency medical crews tended to the victim. The rider was taken to a trauma center in Scottsdale where the nature of his injuries and current condition are unknown, though his injuries are believed to be life threatening.
